MS Weekly Updates and Announcements for June 1 to 5

Next week is the final week of academics for students. Please remind your child to review their Canvas pages and submit any missing assignments from the current unit. The schedule for the final week of the school year will be emailed by grade level, as they each have unique schedules. Look for those coming soon. 

Report cards will be available at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11. You can find the report card in your child’s PowerSchool account. If you need any assistance locating it, please contact the MS Office at: ms.office@concordiashanghai.org or 5899 0380 extension 4000. 

The Virtue of the Month for May is Self-Control.

As May wraps up, we have one more opportunity to reflect on the Virtue of the Month, Self-Control. In Middle School, we’ve learned that this virtue is perfectly timed, as students are starting to get very excited about the end of school for the semester. It gets harder and harder for them to focus on classes or think about living in the moment. Their brains are already on holiday. 

In the article “8 Ways to Help Your Child Learn Impulse Control”, from Parents magazine, we learn 8 strategies on how we can help support our children in developing the skills to be more control of their words and actions.
