The Concordia Welfare & Education Foundation (CWEF) partnered with Grade 8 STEM students for the “Cultivating Minds” initiative, addressing Hong Kong’s STEM education gap and mental health crisis among low-income youth. Working in small groups, the students designed accessible STEM lesson concepts using simple materials. Each project integrated hands-on learning with emotional well-being, culminating in a rapid 60-second pitch to empower underserved children.
CWEF supports and encourages local organizations and community advocates who are serving families impacted by migration, including children of migrant workers in urban areas and “left-behind” children in rural areas.
