May, and June Updates
As celebrate our final day on campus for our seniors, we end today with our Baccalaureate and Awards Assemblies. These are traditional events bringing our school community together one last time with all four gradest to celebrate and recgonize our top academic students in each content area and our seniors. Last year, we added the Senior Parade, allowing our students to walk the halls one last time and give our younger students the chance to celebrate with them.
Remember that Graduation is on Saturday, May 30th in the High School Gym. Please enter through the Welcome Center and be seated before 10:30 am. The Processional will start promptly at 10:30 am with faculty leading followed by the students.
For all returning students, please turn in your Checkout Forms by 4:00 pm on June 1st. Students who do not complete this task may lose access to PowerSchool and may have additional restriction placed on their school accounts.
We will host our Career Day on Monday, June 1st to kick off our Explorations Week. These two weeks from June 1 to June 11th will provide opportunities for our students to dig into a topic with teachers over these two weeks. This week will conclude on June 12th with high schoolevents and our final all school assembly.
Xplorations are Coming!
Xplorations will be coming the week of June 1 to June 12. This year, we are changing the format of Explorations to provide options for our students to dig deeper into one topic of high interest to them. This information will be shared in the near future with students and parents. Students will learn about their Xploration for this year shortly!
One piece that is new this year is the options for students to create their own options for an Independent Style study during Explorations. There will be elements similar to our independent study options for courses including a written plan, a deliverable on the learning when finished, and approval from administration. If students are planning an Independent Study or Internship, they must submit a proposal no later than May 27th. The document for this proposal is here: Independent Study and Internship Proposal 2025-26
Food Sustainability Tip of the Week:
Know your preferences. If you know you don't like eating a certain food, ask the server not to put it on your plate. Don't put food on your plate knowing that you aren't going to touch it at all.
