Season 1 Sports are back with a bang!
What an exciting weekend for Phoenix Sport! Friday evening’s Phoenix Friday brought an amazing turnout from across our community, with students, families, faculty, and staff creating a fantastic atmosphere and demonstrating the positive sportsmanship and school spirit that make these events so special. Alongside Volleyball, our Cross Country runners delivered some outstanding performances, with the boys securing five top-10 finishes, including first and second place, and the girls earning two top-10 finishes. The energy continued on Saturday as Concordia hosted the Shanghai Cup, with our Varsity Boys Volleyball team completing an unbeaten weekend and our Varsity Girls competing strongly across all three games, while our JV teams gained valuable experience and learning through their games at SAS Puxi. It was a wonderful early-season snapshot of the growth, teamwork, and community that we hope to see throughout the months ahead, as we build toward an especially exciting conclusion to the season when Concordia hosts APAC Cross Country and Volleyball in October. Thank you to everyone who competed, coached, supported, volunteered, and cheered: a fantastic weekend of Phoenix pride and education-based athletics!
