GMS Volleyball Camp Returns to Concordia!

For the third consecutive year, Concordia was proud to host the Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camp, bringing together young athletes for four days of learning, development, and connection through sport. This year, 17 of the 30 participating students were from Concordia, alongside students from schools across China and Asia. Beyond developing volleyball skills, the camp provides another wonderful opportunity to showcase the Concordia community, facilities, and commitment to education-based athletics to visiting students and families from across the region.

Thank you to all the parents who joined today’s Activities and Sport Parent Connect, either in person or online. These beginning-of-year opportunities to connect, ask questions, and learn more about our programs are an important part of building a strong partnership between families and the school.

We look forward to continuing those connections at Tuesday evening’s JV/Varsity Parent & Student Kick-Off (flyer below), where families can meet coaches and learn more about the season ahead, as well as at next Friday’s Aquatics Parent Connect (flyer below) for those interested in learning more about our Swimming program.

Phoenix Friday is about more than competition — it’s about community!
Throughout the year, Phoenix Fridays bring students, families, faculty, and staff together to connect, celebrate, and build school spirit while supporting our student-athletes and activities. They are a chance to fill the sidelines and stands, wear our blue and gold, and create the energy that makes representing Concordia so special. Join us for our first Phoenix Friday of the year on August 28 and help us start the season by celebrating our students and our community together. MS and HS sports and ECAs are now underway. We are excited to begin EC and ES ECAs on Monday, August 24. Other key dates include:

  • Monday, August 24: EC/ES ECAs begin

  • Tuesday, August 25: JV/Varsity Parent-Student Kick Off (5:30-7:00 p.m.)

  • Friday, August 28: Aquatics Parent Connect (12:30-1:45 p.m.) & Phoenix Friday (4:15-7:15 p.m.)

  • Saturday, August 29: Varsity Shanghai Cup at Concordia

  • September 10-12: Varsity Sports Mid-Season trips

  • September 14-20: Season 2 ECA and Sport registration window
