High School Student Visit
Our high school students took center stage as they passionately shared their P.E.T. bottle project focused on recycling, a meaningful initiative aligned with this year's inspiring theme, "Greener Together." Students taught the early childhood kids about the environmental impact of plastic waste and the powerful difference recycling can make in our community and beyond. It was truly inspiring to see our young learners take ownership of global issues and channel their energy into real, actionable solutions. We are excited to be included in this initiative to support a greener tomorrow.
Celebrating and Exploring
Last week, kindergarten students had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate their writing journey by sharing their work with their peers, reading aloud, swapping stories, and cheering one another on with enthusiasm. Building on that momentum, this week our Kindergarteners dove into an exciting exploration of weather through a fun and engaging rotational activity across classes! Students moved between classrooms, each offering a different hands-on experience to deepen their understanding of weather concepts.
Parent Tip of the Week
One way we nurture our children’s confidence is by showing faith in them and in the world around them. While challenges happen, most people in the world are kind, helpful, and good at heart. When children grow up believing this, they are more likely to approach others with openness and trust. At the same time, we can remind them that if a situation feels uncomfortable or confusing, they can use their words to express their feelings and needs. Practicing this at home through simple role-plays can be powerful. For example: “I feel sad because Johnny doesn’t want to play with me. Can I play with you later?” These small practice moments build the communication skills that support social, emotional, and physical safety.
Attached is a picture of a Positive Discipline tool card that we use in the classroom. All of the steps apply beautifully at home as well, so this visual can serve as a simple reminder of how you might practice these conversations together. This week, show faith in your child’s growing ability to communicate and navigate relationships and extend yourself that same grace as you practice these parenting skills together.

International Day is just around the corner! We warmly invite all students to come dressed in traditional cultural attire next week as we come together to celebrate the rich diversity that makes our school community so beautifully unique.
Parent Connect: Transition to Grade 1
This week also brought an informative session for our Kindergarten families, as our Elementary Administration Team walked parents through everything they need to know about the upcoming transition to Grade 1. From academic expectations to daily routines and what to look forward to. If you were unable to attend, not to worry as you can review the presentation slides to catch up on all the key highlights.
