EC Principal Message
Dear Parents,
Somehow, another year has come and gone, and as I reflect, I feel genuinely grateful. Our Word of the Year was Ignite, and I think we lived up to it. We saw real curiosity spark in our children, lit the flame for real conversations between home and school, and fanned the energy for the community to grow in the spaces in between.
This year, our parent community grew in a way that brought us all together. We explored Reggio Emilia and what it truly means to see learning through a child's eyes. We unpacked positive discipline together and had some genuinely honest conversations about how we support our children at home and at school. We dove into early literacy and mathematics, giving families a closer look at how these foundations are built in the early years. And perhaps most unexpectedly, many of you told us that one of the most valuable parts of this year was simply meeting other parents, sharing your experiences, and realizing you are not navigating this alone. That sense of connection is something we will continue to nurture, because a strong parent community makes everything we do for children even more powerful.
Therefore, I want to say a big thank you to all the parents. You came to the holiday celebrations, showed up for the exhibitions, cheered at field day, and celebrated children’s successes. To our EC PSO representatives, thank you for your dedication behind the scenes because this year would simply not have been the same without you.
As summer begins, I hope you get to slow down, breathe, and enjoy your children. Thank you for trusting us with them this year. It has been a privilege.
Wishing every family a wonderful summer ahead.
