Let’s Create and Ignite! — Invitation to the 2026 Jinqiao Lantern Display

Hello Concordia Community,

The Lantern Festival is a celebration of family, creativity, and light. This year, Jinqiao invites you to participate in “Family Lantern Display” as part of the 2026 Jinqiao International Lantern Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity to create a unique lantern together and welcome the Spring Festival.

  • The first 100 families to submit a lantern will receive a special gift

  • Outstanding works will be showcased at the festival and announced via “金桥发布” (Jinqiao Publish) WeChat official account 


Registration & Submission:

  • Submission Deadline: January 16, 2026

  • The Elementary School: Submit to your Mandarin teacher

  • The Middle School: Submit to P231 – Ms. Amy Chen

  • The High School: Submit to H604 – Ms. Grace Min 


Requirements:

  • Theme: Spring Festival Reunion & Family Warmth. Must be original.

  • Materials: Safe and easy-to-find materials such as colored paper, lantern frames, LED lights, fabric, recycled boxes. No flames, fragile glass or sharp materials.

  • Size: Within 1m × 1m × 1m; Weight ≤ 1kg (easy to carry and display).

亲爱的家长，

元宵节，是象征团圆与温暖的中国传统佳节！今年，金桥在“中外家庭闹元宵”活动中特别推出了花灯展示环节，诚邀大家一起动手，制作独一无二的花灯，用创意迎接新春！

  • 前100组提交家庭将获得精美纪念品

  • 优秀作品将获得展示机会及优秀作品奖，并于 “金桥发布”公众号公布评选结果


活动信息：

  • 花灯提交截止：2026年1月16日

  • 小学部：各中文老师

  • 初中部：P231  Amy Chen老师

  • 高中部：H604  Grace Min老师

  • 主题：围绕“团圆、温馨、年味”发挥创意，鼓励全家共同创作。作品须为原创。

  • 材料：彩纸、灯笼骨架、LED灯串、布料、废旧纸盒等安全材料。禁止使用明火、玻璃等危险材料，制作时请家长陪同。

  • 尺寸：为便于展示，请确保尺寸不超过1米×1米×1米，重量 ≤ 1kg。
