Activities and Sport Weekly Update: Oct. 11
SISAC Success at the Canal
Initially postponed due to the typhoon that hit Shanghai before the break, the SISAC Cross Country Championship finally took place on Tuesday, October 8. Concordia hosted 8 different international schools from across Shanghai and Suzhou for the annual meet. SISAC Cross Country is a 5km race, with a girls and boys category, medals awarded to the top 10 finishers in each gender, and a team trophy awarded to the top three boys and girls teams. It was a beautiful day for running, and a really positive atmosphere for the event, thanks to the sportsmanship displayed by the students, coaches and parents.
For the second year running, Concordia's girls Cross Country team have been crowned SISAC Champions, and did so in style, with four Concordia finishes in the top 11! The young Concordia boys team gave an impressive showing, with two top 10 finishes and an overall 3rd place trophy for the boys. With most students breaking their personal best time on this course, the Phoenix Varsity Cross Country team fly to Hong Kong next week ready to perform! Go Phoenix!
APAC & JPAC Live-streaming
Season one Varsity and JV teams and student athletes are set for APAC and JPAC to take place next Thursday - Saturday (October 17-19). Early Childhood / Elementary School Showcase classes
The week of October 14-18 is the final week of season 1 ECAs. Early Childhood and Elementary School parents are invited to attend their children's final class, to witness first hand the learning experiences and growth students have made within the ECA program this season. Note that season 2 ECAs begin the following week (the week beginning October 21).
Wellness Updates
AMC 10/12 Registration Reminder
Registration for the American Mathematics Competitions 10/12 (AMC 10/12) is now open! Both AMC 10/12 A and AMC 10/12 B will be held at Concordia in November 2024.
Exam Dates and Restrictions:
- AMC 10/12 A: Nov 7th, 2024 (Thursday), 17:00-18:15
- AMC 10/12 B: Nov 13th, 2024 (Wednesday), 17:00-18:15
- AMC 10 is for students in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years old. AMC 12 is for students in grade 12 or below and under 19.5 years old.

Community Tennis Court Use
We are pleased to share that one of the hard surface, covered Tennis courts are now open for Concordia community use on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. See below the rules of appropriate use of the courts.
