PSO Weekly Update - May 22
1. PSO Community Meeting & Luncheon
The Parent Support Organization’s EOY community meeting took place on a loving day of 520 “我愛您”. We recapped all the events throughout the year, highlighted our students’ outstanding achievements and awards, and held an election on New PSO Board Members. After the meeting, parents joined for lunch at a nearby restaurant, cheering for a year of fantastic community experiences and celebrating each other’s parenting journey.
2. International & Bilingual School Badminton Tournament
Congratulations once again to the Concordia Parents Badminton Team for an incredible achievement at the International & Bilingual School Badminton Tournament held in Shanghai on May 20, 2026!

Competing against 30 international and bilingual schools across Shanghai, our Concordia Parents Team proudly secured 4th Place among a highly competitive field that included schools such as Shanghai American School Pudong, Shanghai American School Puxi, Wellington College International Shanghai, Dulwich College Shanghai, NACIS Shanghai, Pinghe School, and SMIC Private School. With approximately 350 participants taking part in the tournament, the level of competition was truly outstanding.
Our parents demonstrated remarkable dedication, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the event. Months of practice, determination, and passion for the sport were clearly reflected on the court as the team fought hard for every match. Equally inspiring was the incredible camaraderie and team spirit shown by both players and supporters. We were also deeply grateful for the support of two volunteer parents who came to cheer and encourage the team throughout the tournament.
Representing Concordia in the team category were Isabella Wong, Eddy Wong, Lucy Xiao, Richard Deng, Leon Jiang, and Echo Wu. Additional participants included Tony Cai, Qian Zhou, Christine Tang, Ling Lai, Cecilia, May Tao, Will and Sunny Li, all of whom contributed to the energy and spirit of the event.
Over the past four years, the Concordia Parents Badminton Team has consistently achieved outstanding results, earning championship titles and building a strong reputation within the Shanghai international school community. The dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship shown by every parent throughout the years have made this journey truly special.
As I write this final article as Concordia Parents Badminton Captain and bid adieu to the team, my heart is filled with immense gratitude and pride. Leading this team has been one of the most meaningful and joyful experiences of my years at Concordia. Beyond the trophies and achievements, it is the friendships we built, the laughter we shared, and the unwavering support we gave one another that I will cherish most. Being part of this team has truly felt like being part of a family, and I will deeply miss the incredible community we created together.
I have no doubt that the Concordia Parents Badminton Team will continue to grow stronger and achieve even greater success in the years ahead. To all new and current parents who may be interested in joining, we warmly welcome you to become part of this special community, a place where friendships, teamwork, and lasting connections are built both on and off the court.
